Suspect identified in connection with shooting at Northeast Side business

Mark Chrey Carlo T Alfonso had turned himself in, authorities say

SAN ANTONIO – A man is in custody after a shooting on the Northeast Side left another person injured, according to the Windcrest Police Department.

The suspect has been identified as Mark Chrey Carlo T Alfonso, 31, a City of Windcrest spokesperson told TheTXLoop.

Officers responded to the shooting just after 3 p.m. Tuesday at a business in the 5000 block of Walzem Road.

As of Thursday, the person who was shot remains hospitalized, according to the spokesperson.

Alfonso turned himself in to the San Antonio Police Department on the day of the shooting, authorities stated.

He was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on Wednesday, jail records show.

The shooting remains under investigation.
