North Texas principal among several employees fired amid multi-agency investigation, Forney ISD says

The district says the investigations stem from allegations of misconduct by a teacher.

FORNEY, Texas — Crosby Elementary School’s principal has been let go from Forney ISD amid a multi-agency investigation that also implicated a number of aides and a teacher who work for the district, according to a letter sent to families Thursday.

Forney ISD officials say the investigation stems from allegations made regarding misconduct by a teacher. Officials say once they heard the allegations, the teacher was immediately removed. The aides involved in the incident and the principal were also removed during this process.

Forney ISD added that “none will be returning to the district.”

District officials say the teacher at the center of the allegation was hired in October 2025 under a name with a clean DPS and FBI fingerprint background checks and a clean certification through the State Board of Education. However, through the course of their investigation, officials learned that the teacher had legally changed his name before being hired at Forney ISD. The letter states the teacher had faced charges under his prior name, for which he was acquitted.

The district says they did not know of any prior issues involving the teacher based on the changed name in his records.

District officials say they’ve notified and are fully cooperating with the Forney ISD Police Department, Child Protective Services and state agencies as they conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

Officials say because this is an active investigation and “out of respect for federal student and staff privacy laws,” they’re unable to share any specific details regarding the individuals involved. The families known to be involved in the investigation have been directly contacted by police.

If you have any additional information, district officials are urging you to reach out to CPS or law enforcement.
