Houston City College new logo revealed

Houston Community College became Houston City College in June. The new logo was unveiled on Friday.

HOUSTON — In June, our partners at the Houston Business Journal reported on how Houston Community College rebranded as Houston City College.  On Friday, we got a look at a new logo.

The school said the name change was to better reflect the school’s expansion into bachelor’s degree programs. HCC said the new logo, which you can see below, was a look “designed to capture the spirit, values and vision of the institution as it prepares for the future.”

“This is more than a fresh design — it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re headed,” said Chancellor Margaret Ford Fisher, Ed.D. in a post on the HCC website.  “Our nearly 100,000 students, faculty and staff share in the excitement of this moment, because it symbolizes growth, unity and the promise of the journey ahead for HCC.”

The school says that soon, the new logo will be on all communications.
