TCU football trolls Bill Belichick, UNC on social media after win

FORT WORTH, Texas — All the talk headed into Monday night’s TCU-UNC matchup was focused on one thing: Bill Belichick’s collegiate coaching debut.

Highly-regarded the best football coach in the game, after leading the New England Patriots to six Super Bowls, Belichick’s first game as the Tar Heels coach was the only thing you heard about. No one was talking about TCU. It was almost a foregone conclusion that the Tar Heels would run away with the season opener.

But it didn’t just stop there.

TCU heard all the noise, kept the receipts and let loose after the statement win. TCU Football’s X account had a field day for about two hours after the game until about midnight. It started with the psychedelic video they’ve posted after wins for years, but then came the responses to all of the Belichick hype, Michael Jordan and Lawrence Taylor references, etc. Here’s a look at all of the posts:

TCU will host Abilene Christian in the home opener on Sept. 13.
