Giant weed warehouse raided in Stafford, Texas; 18 arrested

DEA Houston and Stafford police arrested 18 people and seized over 1,000 pounds of marijuana.

STAFFORD, Texas — Local and federal law enforcement agencies raided a warehouse in Stafford on Wednesday morning, according to the Houston division of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

DEA agents and Stafford police said they seized more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana. 

They also arrested 18 people working inside the warehouse on Greenbriar Drive, between South Kirkwood Road and Murphy Road. 

They said the suspects are undocumented immigrants from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. They were turned over to ICE to begin deportation proceedings.  

Several other law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation, including the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, DPS and the U.S. Border Patrol.
