Two food influencers survived after an SUV plowed into Cuvée Culinary Creations, a moment captured in viral video clips.

HOUSTON — Two food influencers say they are lucky to be alive after an SUV crashed into a Houston restaurant while they were filming content inside.

The crash happened Sunday at Cuvée Culinary Creations when an SUV plowed through the front window, shattering glass and slamming into the dining area. Video shared online shows the moment of impact.

The influencers, identified as Nina Santiago (known online as NinaUnrated) and Patrick Blackwood, were eating when the vehicle came barreling in. Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay.

“Out of nowhere, but we survived”

On Instagram, Santiago said she was eating a salmon slider when the SUV hit them directly.

“I’m beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at @cuveesculinarycreations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while @iampatrickblackwood and I recorded an eating show,” she wrote. “It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived.”

Santiago also reflected on the meaning of life after the crash:

“This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you — this could’ve been our last meal.”

She added that she felt protected by her late dog Loyal, who died in November 2024:

“Thankful to the universe and our angel pup Loyal, who passed in Nov 2024 and protected us from above.”

“Live bold, love deep”

Blackwood also shared his thoughts on Instagram, saying the terrifying moment gave him a renewed outlook:

“Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose! 🙏✨ Live bold, love deep, and make every moment count.”
