HOUSTON — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office wants you to be on the lookout for a man they say was mistakenly released from jail just before he was to start serving a sentence.

The man they’re looking for is 36-year-old Troy Dugas.  According to the sheriff’s office, he was to serve a five-year prison sentence for assaulting a family member in Fort Bend County and a two-year sentence for evading arrest in Brazoria County.

In a post to social media, the sheriff’s office said Dugas was mistakenly let out at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Above is a photo of Dugas. He stands around 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 215 pounds.

If you see him, you’re asked to call 911.
