2 dead in NW Harris County shooting, officials say

Two people were killed in an incident in northwest Harris County. Investigators said it began as a child custody dispute.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Two people were killed on Thursday in northwest Harris County.

According to investigators, the incident began as a child custody dispute on Tanglehead Court, which is near the intersection of Antoine Drive and Beltway 8.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office officials said Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables responded to the scene when one man came out of the house and shot another man. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said a deputy constable then shot the man with the gun.

Both men died, and no one else was injured, officials said.

HCSO will lead the investigation.
