According to Deer Park police, Dr. Dwayne Dunbar, 36, is also charged with online solicitation of a minor.
HOUSTON — A Houston-area doctor is out on bond after his arrest for sexually assaulting a child, according to the Deer Park Police Department.
Dr. Dwayne Dunbar, 36, from Webster, is also charged with online solicitation of a minor, and police are concerned there may be multiple victims.
Dunbar was arrested recently following an investigation by DPPD that began in February.
During his first court appearance, the judge said his alleged victim was 14. She told investigators that Dunbar bought her a drink that made her drowsy, and when she woke up, she “felt sexual intercourse.”
Investigators said Dunbar used multiple online dating apps to identify young, underage girls. He would then befriend them and try to start a relationship.
Dunbar was released from the Harris County Jail after posting a $65,000 bond. A judge also granted the prosecutor’s request for an emergency protection order.
DPPD says Dunbar is a pain medicine physician who has practiced in the Greater Houston area for eight years. According to U.S. News, Dunbar is also an anesthesiologist who practices at Houston Physicians Hospital.
The Deer Park Police Department is asking anyone who has information on Dwayne Dunbar’s activities or has been a victim to contact Lt. Brown at 281-930-2142 or crimetips@deerparktx.org.
