Houston traffic: Highway 225 westbound at Richey shut down due to HazMat wreck

At this point, it’s not clear if anyone’s injured. All westbound lanes are closed.

HOUSTON — Heads up to those of you on the east side of town. There’s a traffic mess you’ll want to avoid.

It’s happening on the westbound side of Highway 225 at Richey. According to Houston Transtar, one vehicle was involved in an accident and Hazmat spill.

It’s not clear if there are any injuries or what led to the wreck. All of the westbound lanes are shut down in the area. From a Houston Transtar camera, you can see a fire truck there.
