A pregnant woman died after a crash on Tidwell Road involving a white truck that fled the scene, according to HCSO. Deputies are searching for the driver.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A pregnant woman is dead and another person injured after a violent crash Thursday evening in northeast Harris County, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 7:45 p.m. on Tidwell Road just west of C.E. King Parkway. Authorities say Gloria Guevera was driving a red 2010 Ford Mustang heading east when her vehicle was hit from behind by a white truck, causing her to veer into the median and into oncoming traffic.
Investigators say the Mustang was then hit head-on by a 2019 Ford F-250 pulling a utility trailer.
Guevera, who officials say was two to three months pregnant, died at the scene. A passenger in her car was taken to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
The driver of the white truck that initiated the crash fled the scene and has not yet been identified. Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division are continuing to investigate.
