AUSTIN (KXAN) — The San Marcos Police Department is investigating after report of a man who was allegedly hiding under a bed at an apartment complex in San Marcos on Thursday.
SMPD said on social media around 11 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to an apartment complex near the 1800 to 1900 block of Aquarena Springs Drive for a report of a burglary.
“When the resident left the apartment to call 911, the male exited the apartment through a back door and left on foot toward Aquarena Springs Drive,” police said.
It was not immediately clear how the man got into the apartment or how long he was there, according to SMPD.
Police encouraged those in the areas “to lock their doors and be aware of their surroundings.”
The investigation remained ongoing by police Saturday.
