North Texas man arrested after CyberTip leads to child porn investigation

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.

SHERMAN, Texas — A man was arrested Monday after a CyberTip from the Dallas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force led investigators to suspected child exploitation activity in Grayson County.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as 28-year-old Codyie Lamont Dunn. The tip, received on July 14, prompted investigators to secure a search warrant for Dunn’s home in the 3300 block of North FM 1417 in Sherman.

Due to evidence collected during the investigation and at Dunn’s home, he was taken into custody and charged with possession of child pornography and tampering with evidence.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.

“The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to working with local, regional, and federal partners to hold offenders accountable,” Sheriff Tony Bennie said in a statement.

Anyone with information related to this case or suspected child exploitation is urged to contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office or submit a tip through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at www.cybertipline.org.
