A rental neighborhood recently opened within Viridian, the master-planned community in Arlington that ranks among the wealthiest enclaves in North Texas.
Tricon Residential Inc. on July 15 celebrated the opening of Tricon Viridian, the only major built-to-rent product in the huge MPC. It brings a different kind of living to an area known for its serene living and nature amenities.
Homes for purchase in Viridian are currently priced between $230,000 and $2 million. Tricon’s community aims to be a more cost-friendly option for those who want to live in the neighborhood but don’t want to fork over a down payment or keep up with the costs of homeownership, said Andy Carmody, senior managing director at Tricon Residential. Rent in Tricon Viridian starts at around $2,779 per month.
The neighborhood was developed in partnership with HHS Residential and Johnson Development, which is partially owned by Tricon. Homes feature three or four bedrooms as well as two-car garages and fenced backyards. Renters can access neighborhood amenities, including a resort-style pool and fitness center. The units features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and vinyl flooring.
