AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Tuesday, Gov. Greg Abbott instructed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to request federal assistance for three additional Texas counties.
The request included Coke, Concho and Williamson counties, which were impacted by the recent catastrophic flooding across Texas.
“A review of damage assessments in Coke, Concho, and Williamson counties shows they exceed federal criteria for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance program, which includes assistance for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities,” the governor’s office said. “Additional counties may be requested as updated information becomes available.”
