DALLAS — A popular Dallas-based chicken chain is planning to open another location in North Texas, according to a filing from the state.
Mike’s Chicken, which first opened in 2014 and has two locations in Dallas — one at 4234 Maple Avenue in the Oak Lawn area and another at 7752 Forest Lane — is set to open a third location, this time in Collin County, according to the state filing.
Mike’s Chicken is building a location in Plano at the corner of Renner Road and State Highway 190, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The new location started construction in August of last year and was set to be finished April 1, 2025, according to the filing. It’s planned to be 2,500 square feet, and the estimated cost of the project is $1,250,000, the filing states.
Mike’s Chicken‘s menu features chicken tenders, wings, sandwiches or salads, with sides including mashed potatoes, fries, green beans, cole slaw, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, biscuits, and more.
Back in February, Mike’s Chicken was one of five North Texas restaurants to make Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. in 2025 list.
