Police said a spectator fell down before he was run over by a car doing donuts.
HOUSTON — A man is dead after he was run over by a car doing donuts at a car meet in northeast Houston early Sunday morning, police said.
This happened around midnight in an industrial parking lot along the North Loop near Highway 90 Alt.
Police said there were a lot of cars gathered in the lot and a lot of spectators taking videos.
As some of the cars were doing donuts, the Houston Police Department said one of the spectators, a man in his early 20s, fell and was run over by a maroon Dodge Charger.
The driver of the Charger stayed at the scene until the man was pulled from underneath his vehicle. HPD said he sped off when he noticed the man was unconscious.
Police said witnesses captured the incident on camera, including the suspect car’s license plate.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
