The fast food chain is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Egg McMuffin with a spicy twist.
WASHINGTON — McDonald’s is rolling out a summer lineup of all new menu items, including the long-anticipated comeback of the Snack Wrap.
Here’s a look at what’s new and what’s still on the way:
Spicy McMuffin
Beginning July 8, McDonald’s is celebrating 50 years of the Egg McMuffin with a new spicy addition. The Spicy McMuffin features Canadian bacon, a freshly cracked egg, American cheese on a toasted English muffin, topped with a signature Spicy Pepper Sauce.
Spicy versions of the Sausage McMuffin and the Sausage McMuffin with Egg will also be available for a limited time.
Snack Wrap
After nearly a decade off U.S. menus, the Snack Wrap officially returns on July 10. The fan favorite menu item, a tortilla full of chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese and sauce, was introduced by McDonald’s almost two decades ago to make it easier to eat its chicken on the go.
It will soon be offered in ranch and spicy varieties, both made with fried chicken. Past versions included grilled chicken and additional sauces, but McDonald’s says the simplified options will help speed up service.

Daily Double
The Daily Double burger joins the national menu starting July 22. Made with two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, onions, mayo and two tomato slices, the burger had previously been tested in select markets across the country. It will also be available as part of the McValue Meal Deal, priced at $6 or $7 depending on the location.

McCrispy Strips
Introduced in May, McCrispy Strips was the first new permanent item to the McDonalds menu in four years. The McCrispy Strips feature “100% white meat, coated with crispy golden-brown breading and bursting with a bold, new black pepper flavor.”
Customers can order the strips in three- or four-piece servings, accompanied by one or two Creamy Chili Dip sauce cups, respectively. The Creamy Chili Dip is described as a savory, sweet and tangy sauce designed to complement the strips.
