The fire shut down traffic on I-35 southbound until just before 9 a.m. The truck was “fully engulfed in flames,” Georgetown PD said.

Drivers were detoured from I-35 to Leander Road, but one lane reopened after first responders put out the fire.

However, Georgetown PD recommended to drivers heading south on I-35 that they find other routes.
